Gregory Moore (Fashion Gallery New York) Haysberry Texas Review

My boss was contacted by Moore of Fashion Gallery New York via email in May 2017 to be a sponsor for their contribution to Men’s NYFW. As her assistant, I was a bit leery at first, so I contacted a reputable affiliate of NYFW to verify Fashion Gallery’s participation. When they confirmed, I responded to the email. All correspondence was kosher…at first. Moore sent me the email regarding their sponsorship deck, and as a small brand, seeing the sponsorship fees, I politely declined partnership, per my boss’ request. Moore called me several times, and when we did finally speak, he mentioned that they work with smaller, indie brands and would allow product to be donated in exchange for promotion/brand visibility, so we agreed to send 500 packaged fragrance samples from our niche collection. Before mailing them, I sent Moore an email with a photo of the product to be sent, because I am a thorough communicator and make all attempts to avoid any confusion, given the profession. There were no complaints, so I mailed the samples as promised to the address given and sent him UPS tracking information. The show was July 10-13, and the samples were received by the contact person on July 5, 2017 at the specified delivery location of the Stewart Hotel, so when I received a rather rude text message around 8:40am on July 8 insinuating that product had not been sent as discussed, I began to have that negative gut feeling that things were about to go awry. I validated delivery and sent a screenshot of the delivery notes, and he finally confirmed that the samples were received, but after he began saying he was disappointed in what was sent and belittling my knowledge of the magnitude of NYFW, I immediately told him that if what was sent was such an “embarrassment”” then by all means don’t use the products and just send them back to our company on my dime. I heard nothing back after that and even attempted to contact him twice more but to no avail. I attempted to view FGNYFW’s Instagram page only to find out our company page has been blocked

so after viewing their page from a friend’s account

I was able to see that not only did Moore take the sponsorship post down

but evidently he did not in fact use our products! I was professional and thorough in my communication from beginning to end

and to be the recipient of such disrespectful and shady business practices is disheartening. Once I figured that the samples would not be used
