Complaint: On 4-26-13 I had my 2012 Tioga Ranger Dsl serviced at La Mesa R.V. in Davis, California. They were suppose to fix a leak underneath the main sink and cabinet area, replace and install a D.V.D player that wasn’t working properly, fix the back brake lights, and replace the air conditioner cover and the part that was damaged. I had a manufactor warranty when I first contacted them 6 weeks before they finally allowed me to get in for servicing. My warranty ended at 20,000 miles. I had only 19,000 miles when I called them, but they continued to procrastinate, and change the appointment before I could get in. They finally had me come in when my mileage was 20,900 miles. I also had an extended warranty that was valid, and I also had manufactor warranty on all of the major appliances and parts. When they replaced my D.V.D. stereo they for some irrational reason, didn’t want to take the payment from the insurance company that wanted to pay for the stereo replacement. They finally did after I had to discuss the matter and wait for 5hrs for no rational reason. To make a long terrible story shorter, when they attempted to fix the small leak under the cabinet, they back stripped the water pump, that connects to the water filter, and caused a major water leak, that ended up damaging our entire cabinet area. I then took our vehicle to another R.V. repair center that told me that who ever worked on it, damaged the threading. I have proof from the other R.V. repair company. When I informed the La Mesa R.V. service manager (Mr. Kevin Hicks), and gave him a copy of the statement from the other company that fixed the leak, that proved that the water pump had been stripped and damaged by the La Mesa service department they refused to pay for it. Juavier Castro at the corporate offices in San Diego California, also refused to pay. They also went into my back light panel, and damaged the wire system, and they refused to pay for the damage they caused. They also made a tear in the water heater panel that coveres the water tank underneath the vehicle, and refused to pay for that also. They also refused to pay for the cabinet damage that they caused. In addition to having to pay for the repairs out of my pocket due to their horrible servicing and them damaging my vehicle, they treated us very bias, and treated us with a lot of disrespect. And also had us having to debate on the payment of the bill, even though Mercedez Benz, had already guaranteed them payment of the damaged air conditioner, and the insurance company also wanted to pay for the repairs. In addition, they commited payment fraud, by illegally claiming, that the air conditioner that we had replaced wasn’t working when in fact, it was working.
