Okay so I too got fooled into this modeling scam. They had a craigs listing saying they needed normal people to appear in a T-mobile print ad. The pay was $750 a day. They asked for a pic and then I got a call, set an appointment. So I go to the office which is in the garment industry and the door has no sign. I go in to a small hallway that is blowing very hot air, some girl is on the other end of the glass wearing daisy dukes, sweating. I’m given an application and sit with 3 other people. Sadly there is a mother daughter there from Connecticut, they drove all the way there. nI’m called in and the guy tells me that he definitely has some people that want to see me. The sooner I get head shots, the sooner I can meet with them. When I ask which agency is interested he hesitates and then says, Enrique. I ask him where Enrique is located and he says downtown. I ask, where downtown, he quickly says he’ll provide me with all the info once I get my head shots done. He runs down the prices of photo packages. I tell him I don’t have any money, that’s why I applied to this listing. He then asks me how much I can afford and then tells me that he usually doesn’t do this but he’d be willing to do 10 photos for $75. Thank god I only had $10 on me, because I ended up giving it to him. I’m grateful I didn’t have anymore, or I would have lost more. nWhen I left there, I left so confused and scammed. I wish I would have looked them up before I went, but when I spoke to them, they didn’t give me their name. As a matter of fact I just found them by searching with the address. The business card he gave me calls themselves MTN, Talent & Model Development and has no name on it. What a scam!!! nJackiennew York, New YorkU.S.A.
