Complaint: I dropped my 2004 Durango off in the morning on November 21, 2014 to have my oil changed. They were advertising a special. I asked the gentlemen who check me in if it matter about what kind of oil they used becuase I always used the same kin d of oil. He said no, but he would check. I picked up my vehicle a couple hours later and went home. I did not drive my vehicle this weekend only to church on Sunday which is about a mile and half. On Monday morning, November 21st at 6:15 in the morning I was on the interstate going to work when I heard a loud noise. I thought something bad had happend. I slowed down and put my flashers on and my check engine light started to blink on and off. I got to work and backed in to the parking spot. When I turned off my car oil was coming out and it steamed a little. I called the garage that morning and they brought a truck to hall it back. He said it had a hole in the block. I had already called a mechanic that works for the Dodge dealers. He had asked me about oil change. I told him I had it changed on Friday at WalMart. I called Walmart that morning and talked to Assistant Manager, Ron. He at first said right off the bat that they noted it didn’t have oil on the stick. I told him I knew for a fact that wasn’t true because the oil was check two days prior to that. He said let him know what goes on at the garage that they (Walmart) had cameras in the shop to see if something was not done. The next day the garage called me and asked me to go to Walmart and have them show me what kind of filter they put on my car and take a picture of it. I did. The owner of the garage and also the mechanic from Dodge said they did not change the oil filter at all. It was bent because apparently WalMart couldn’t get it off. He said the oil looked funny also to think it was only a couple days old. I called Walmart for almost 2 weeks before anyone would talk with me. The Manager, Steve Jones said he didn’t know anything about it that the Assistant Manger had emergency surgery. The manager turned it in to their claims department. A genetlemen called me that afternoon on a Friday, November 5th and said someone would be calling me. On Tuesday, at 4:00 I had a message left on my phone to call. I called and didn’t get a hold of amyone. I called back and push another button to talk to a actual person. This time I talked with a Jermey. He said that my claims per was Melba and she was out of the office to email her with the pictures I had and also the estimate. These pictures and estimate was from my insurance adjuster. I sent these pictures. She didn’t call. She then started emailing saying it wasn’t Walmart’s fault becuase she didn’t have a picture of the complete oil filter. I sent all of these again. She then called and left a message saying she was denying the claim because she didn’t think it was WalMArts fault. I called her and she didn’t answer. I then emailed her and told her they did not change the oil filter. She asked me if Walmart changed my oil before and I said yes. Then she wanted to know if I still had the oil fitler and I also told her yes. Then she sent me an email and said they denied the claim. I had two different mecahnica and also my insurance adjuster look at it. They said WalMart ran it with out oil then apparently maybe put oil in it. I tried to get a hold of Melb’a supervisor but have not been successful. My insurance company is paying for the repairs and my car rental. WalMart is at fault and they should have to pay! I talked with serveral people and apparently this has been a problem with them!
